So, today was the first day that I was back in the office. My company has been moving and going through some serious changes, and that has put some serious stress on my body. I noticed that my blood sugars are up even if I am eating well. I know it is related to the stress, as stress=high blood sugar for me.
Well due to the office moves I have been working from home. This has been good and bad. The good is no drive, the bad is EASY access to any food I want (Harris Teeter in our building). So, as you have read over the last few days, I have been getting chinese food from HT and I love it. it is not RAW, and I guess that I have been justifying it as i only get the meat, and so there is no heavy carb load for blood sugars to spike on.
so today at the office, the manager bought us all lunch, and then later due to that food I was feeling sick and made a soda run to get some bubbles in my toummy to help. Well, as you can guess none of the lunch was RAW.
FOOD TODAY:
RAW:
4 Bananas
1 Apple
1 Peach
6 16oz bottles of water
NON RAW:
12" Subway Pastrami
8oz bag of Lays BBQ chips
1/2 bag of Pecan Sandies
2 strips of Beef Jerky
1lt of diet pepsi
so, it was a really bad day for food. on top of all that, my wife was not feeling well, and so I was trying to be comforting, and justify my desire to eat more none healthy or raw foods, and we made a food run. My wife is so awesome though, she REALLY wanted some pizza or chips and cheese dip. She talked us both down from a ledge of bad choices, and we stayed well. I truly appreciate her strength and resolve in this and many other areas of our lives.
So, lets see how Friday and the weekend goes. My wife is gone, so it is 100% up to me to remain on my guard and eat healthy.
